Lipstick Monday's MAC Fanfare

On my April Wishlist was this gorgeous lipstick!! I'd seen swatches online and knew this had to be the lipstick I treated myself to on pay day. You may have seen it mentioned in my trip to town post. I tend to always pop in after pay day to stock up. Lately this has meant a trip to MAC. I just can't resist those gorgeous lipsticks.

This is a gorgeous wearable shade that's so easy to just put on in the morning and not think about. It's one of those your lips but better shade. It comes out little pinker than I expected from swatches on my lips but I love the colour on.

MAC describes this as a mid tone yellow pink which I think gives a pretty good indication of the shade. I've found myself wearing it almost everyday since I purchased it. It just goes with everything. This is my first cremesheen finish lipstick. At first it felt harder to apply then the Lustre and Amplified finishes I have but once on it's as soft and moisturising.

As for wear I find I get about 3 hours. I don't tend to comment on wear too much as I find myself applying lipstick a lot. I drink a lot through the day so always need to re apply.

Have you tried this lipstick? What's your favourite your lips but better shade. (love that description, seen it on lots of blogs now and seems the perfect way to sum it up)

Hope your Monday isn't too awful!

Review: Real Techniques Brushes

Me and M had both wanted Real Techniques brushes as soon as they came out....but after M bought a Mac one and I already had a large number it took us a little while to actually go and get them.

But with the wonderful 3 for 2 offer from Boots coming to and end we eventually gave in on the premise that we would have bought them anyway and we may as well get them when they're on offer....right?? :)

So we both bought the stippling brush due to all the raving, and I also got the blush brush as mine is cheap and molts all over my face...lush.

The packaging is simple, black white and a hint of pink with information clearly printed on the back.
What I love is the bit at the bottom, reminding you that you can go onto youtube and find videos that teach you how to use your product for the best effect, brilliant!

Out of the packaging the brushes look gorgeous, and on first touch I noticed that they are unbelievably soft!

The boxes tell me that the hairs are ultra plush synthetic taklon bristles that are HAND CUT and 100% cruelty free....what's not to love!

They have light aluminium handles, with a flat base to stand them up on and help to create that 'pixel perfect' finish that we all crave.

Let's see how they fare!

The stippling brush was the one I was most excited about due to the massive amounts of reviews and the possibility of an actual flawless base, including foundation, blush and powders, which anyone who's anyone wants!

This is a close up of the bristles, click for a bigger picture and you'll feel like you're right on it, it looks so soft!

I was a little afraid this would irritate my skin but the bristles have absolutely no negative effect whatsoever, they buffed my foundation in a treat and I truly had a perfect finish.
I even added in my concealer and highlighter to the mix and buffed them in, trust me I couldn't believe my skin was mine!

The flat bottom can seem gimmicky to some but I love them, no more leaning them on something else and getting make up everywhere, and similarly no letting them lie on a surface and pick up any bacteria before you transfer it to your face.

Such a simple design but they look beautiful, I'm sold!

Shown below is a picture of the blush brush up close, it's gorgeously soft and allows me to apply my blusher with no possibility of it sticking in one place.
It blends the blush really well and doesn't leave any harsh lines that some brushes can do.

Overall I'm sold! I would definitely consider buying more brushes from the range if and when I need them, but sadly I don't have the money (nor a good enough excuse) to buy any more.
Sometimes products don't live up to the hype, but these are certainly worthy of a buy!
The only downside I found to them was that they do molt a tiny bit, my stippling brush did lose a few hairs the first few times I used it, not sure if this is just due to the first use and should be expected? But nevertheless, a fabulous product that I am super pleased with!

Do you have any Real Techniques brushes? Have you used the stippling brush before?

L xxx

When L arrived at the gym with my brush with her I couldn't wait to finish our work out so I could try it when we were getting ready.

When products are really hyped up and everyone loves them I'm always a little sceptical they then won't live up to my hopes. Does anyone else find this?

With everyone loving it I couldn't believe it could be that good!! It's also very reasonably priced in my opinion.

So how did I find it. I absolutely loved it, It's amazing, it does live up to the hype and I love almost everything about it. It makes my foundation appear flawless on my skin, it blends foundations in amazingly and makes layering them up easier and the finish perfect.

The size of the brush is perfect, I know people have said it was small but it's the perfect size for my face. It's easy to get into around my nose and eyes and I think any bigger and this would be awkward. It's sturdy so perfect for stippling onto your skin but doesn't feel at all hard on your face. It feels so soft and gentle on the skin.

I find it does work better with some foundations, I find it better with thinner liquid foundations. It's made me love Rimmel Wake Me up even more, I'm also convinced it makes my foundation last longer. Have any of you guys found this too?

So do I have any negatives with it??? The only negatives I can think of are little ones. It uses more foundation, so I try to hold of using it with my MAC foundation for every day. Otherwise I don't mind it using extra. I have enough (15 if you haven't seen my Make up addict post), it's quite nice knowing I'm getting through them. If you are rushed in the mornings it does take a little longer than slapping it on with your fingers but the finish is worth it. lastly the slighty rubberised (think nars packaging) handle gets dirty looking quickly! Foundation and a rubberised handle don't mix, finger prints all over.

None of the negatives would stop me buying it again.

I'm thinking I need the eye collection of brushes next.

Review: Kerastase Bain Satin 1 Shampoo

I had this for Christmas not 2011, but 2010....I feel super guilty about this!

It's not that I didn't want to use it....I just know it's not the cheapest on the planet so wanted to use it for occasions...which of course when it came down to it I never did use them!

So without further ado, on my quest for space and product freedom (as described in the Beauty Rehab series) I have been using this for the past few weeks:

Kerastase Bain Satin 1 shampoo is a Complete Nutrition Shampoo.

They claim: 'Each Bain Satin reference has been formulated with glucose, proteins and lipids to restore the nutritive balance of the hair fibre from root to tip and to protect it against the drying out process. The hair is left with lightness and more body at the same time. Hair feels soften with enhance shine.'

This product also won the In Style Beauty Awards 2010 in the Best Beauty Buy category.

I was excited to use this, and I was not disappointed.

They recommend that you wash your hair twice with this product, on the second time you're supposed to leave it on the hair for a few minutes for the goodness to sink in.

Think of this like a conditioning shampoo, it really works at gently cleaning your hair and leaves it thoroughly conditioned and shiny, without being too heavy.

It's a white shampoo, nothing out of the ordinary but does feel quite thick and luxurious when you apply it.

M commented on my hair the other day telling me how shiny it was, which is always a lush compliment to have!
I would definitely recommend this shampoo if you have dry/coloured hair, and would also say that greasy hair would be ok too as I have greasy hair and have not had a problem with it at all, even when I apply conditioner afterwards.

This has definitely been a pleasure to use and gets the thumbs up from me, as this was bought for me as a present I have no idea how much it costs but would buy it when the time comes and I have no shampoo left!

The only downside that I can see is that the product does contain SLS which I would personally choose to avoid, but you can't have everything!

Have you used Kerastase before? What do you think of their products? Any others that you'd recommend?

Tag! Seven Deadly Sins

This has been doing the rounds for a little while now...and as we have I have been completing my alcohol free month (due to finish this week woo!) we decided to post this instead. Enjoy!

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive is probably Vaseline, cannot cope without it. My mum got me the tin with all 4 types in for Christmas and I loved it! Most expensive would probably have to be the Urban Decay Naked Palette which coincidentally I have lost :( took it to a friend's house and it's disappeared. Hopefully it will turn up somewhere tho...

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
My love/hate is a common one among the posts I've read....glitter nail varnishes! Look the shiz on your nails, absolute NIGHTMARE to get rid of! It's normally worth the effort but for those times it isn't you really do regret wearing it! They need to come up with a solution for this!

I find skincare is the hardest thing to buy. At first I feel like a new product is making the world of difference....and then my skin breaks out, looks tired, oily, dry etc and I end up changing it again. So, I have recently upgraded to the likes of Vichy and Origins, I'm hoping a brand that uses less chemicals/better chemicals than other brands can work it's magic, but otherwise I'm still on the hunt!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
Hmm a delicious product would have to be my Lush lip scrub as you can genuinely eat it as it's only made of sugar and colours. However my Mac lipstick in Creme Cup smells divine, almost like mini eggs?! So that would be a non edible example of something that smells so delicious!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
It would have to be cleansing my skin...I'm a face wipe girl all the way as it's so convenient but I know they don't remove all of the dirt. I have added in an extra stage at the moment as I use the Taaj Micellar solution from February's JolieBox UK to get rid of any impurities and eye make up but I could do a lot better! (Have just got Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, we will see if this makes the difference it's supposed to!)

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
My skin isn't that bad but it would definitely have to be foundation. I just feel that my skin and blemishes, scar, freckles, bags under my eyes etc all look so much better covered up with a dewy foundation. I just wish the effect was permanent ;)

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
If were talking looks alone....tall men with muscle! I'm 5ft 9 and refuse to get with a man shorter than me! Personality wise...I find someone who's passionate about something is quite attractive. Also I tend to like confident men, and sometimes confuse this with arrogance (not a good idea FYI!). Men who want to travel also get my attention! Oh and messy hair and nice teeth are always a good start ;)

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Currently I am running out of my favourite perfume (Jean Paul Gaultier's MaDame for anyone who's interested!) so that would be marvellous! However anything by Origins would also be amazing, I'm a total convert after they've set up in Boots, the stuff smells amazing and has no nasties, winner!

NOTD: No7 Cheeky Chops

This is another No7 Voucher buy.

I love the consistency of these colours, I was super impressed with the colour 'Crave Me' that I had to go and buy some more...

Next on the list was 'Cheeky Chops':

It's a gorgeous pinky coral that I have absolutely loved wearing.
It reminds me a little of the Brook Street colour I posted about a few weeks ago from Nails Inc (here) but this is a more pink shade.

Without flash the colour almost looks red, and is annoying as I've never seen it look like that in any light!

It definitely looks a lot more like the colour below, which was taken with a flash:

The No7 polishes are so easy to use, the brush makes application quite easy and they're not too runny or thick and dry in a relatively decent time.

What do you think of this colour?

I think it's gorgeous, and looked even better when I applied the No7 Top Coat on it too, super shine!

What have you been buying with your vouchers recently? Do you look forward to them coming around again?

What I spent my No.7 vouchers on

I'm quite late posting this but wanted to share what I spent my vouchers on. I'm always looking for ways to spend mine as I end up with so many.

So here's what I purchased, Nail Varnish in shade Crave Me, Smokey eyeliner brush, face wipes, lipliner in nude, fast dry top coat, lipstick in mischief and lipstick in starshell.

L has posted Crave Me as a NOTD so I won't go into too much detail about this. The top coat is brilliant. It really dries quickly and leaves such a shine to the nail. I will definitely repurchase this.

I like the No7 brushes and think they are a good way to spend vouchers and get something I will always use. I love using this brush to shade my crease. It's great for blending in the colour.

The face wipes are a favourite of mine but spending £7 on a pack of face wipes is something I won't do. For £2 they are amazing. Due to the lid they stay most and are soft and strong so remove eye make up without tugging. I use them before cleansing as I find it easier to remove my eye make up this way.

I'm loving lip products at the moment and this a good lip liner really helps lipstick stay longer and stops it bleeding. The shade of this lip liner makes it very versatile and can be used with most of my lipsticks, I'm impressed with it.

I love both these colours on. They have a bit of shimmer which I prefer my lipsticks not to have but they are still wearable. These will both feature in Lipstick Mondays post so check those out if you want to see what shade they come out on the lip.

What did you spend your vouchers on??

A trip to town after pay day

I always find I'm the worst after pay day. I seem to think I have all the money in the world and forget I shouldn't be spending. I'm sure it's not just me.

L and I popped into town on Saturday morning bright and early to bag ourselves some Origins freebies. Did any of you ladies pick them up too?

I only intended to really pick them up and a present for my brothers girlfriend. Of course that didn't happen though.

Here are my goodies - 3 Origins moisturisers, Lush Herbalism cleanser, Lush Breath of Fresh Air toner, Mac Lipstick, Fanfare, Bed Head Superstar shampoo, Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey Conditioner and a set of weights.

We had planned to go to town and visit each of the Origins counters. Origins had a great offer on on Saturday if you took back any full size skincare product they would give you a free 30ml moisturiser. No catches they just wanted more people to try there products. I think this is a great way to try a brand. Did any of you pick these up?

I got two of A Perfect World this was the one recommended to us and one Starting Over just to try. These are great natural products free from parabens and lots of other things. We plan to do a full post on Origins soon.

Next came a stroll to the MAC counter. After selling some bits on eBay I decided I deserved a lipstick. I picked up Fanfare, which will appear in a Lipstick Monday post next week and L had managed to save six empties so could pick up a freebie. I also now have £10 on my beauty card so that's going towards next months MAC lipstick. What colour do you recommend next?

My brothers girlfriends birthday is this week and she'd asked for a MAC eyeshadow. After testing some out on my hand I went with Satin Taupe, it was such a gorgeous colour and formulation I think I'm definitely going to have to pick myself up some soon. What's your favourite colour MAC eyeshadow?

A quick trip to lush was needed to pick up my essentials. I walked in there with blinders on and refused to look at anything else. I have a tonne of bubble bath at the moment so as much as I want bubble bars it seems silly to pick them up.

This is probably my all time favourite toner. It works amazing on my skin and really helps prevent it getting to greasy. I find it lasts well too. My last bottle was a Christmas present and has only just run out. I use it twice a day most days. It's great for if I get in from work and feel my skin is greasy a quick spritz and I'm instantly refreshed.

Lastly we popped into TK Maxx. It's great for picking up odd bits and pieces. I love there homeware.

I wanted to pick up some weights so I could start doing my workout dvd. I bought it back in February stuck at it then for 10 days and got brilliant results so really need to get back into it. When I did it in February I was using water bottles as weights. Cheaper but not as effective.

These were only £7.99, I love that they are soft grip weights and at 3lb they will be perfect for with the DVD.

Whilst there L's devil side came over her and she persuaded me to head to the beauty section so I had to pick up a new shampoo and conditioner even though I have just ordered a Moroccan oil set.

With my extensions I've found the high street brands usually contain silicone (usually listed as diemethicone) which at first I thought would be ok to use even though I was told not to. It really has been causing my extensions to slip out though as the product goes under the micro ring. (posts on my extensions and silicone in beauty products). I decided to pick up these as well as the ones I've ordered as they were cheap. The shampoo was also SLS free. Extra bonus there.

I've used both of these prior to writing this post just to give quick thoughts on them. First thing about both products, they both smell amazing, especially the conditioner. I had to mix the ones I got as the conditioner for Superstar shampoo contained silicone and the shampoo for the oatmeal and honey condition contained ammonia laureth sulphate which L informed me was worse than SLS. I find I'm definitely more aware of what chemicals are in the products I use. It makes shopping longer though. I have had bed head products before and really loved them so was pleased to pick them up cheaper in TK Maxx. I will definitely be going back there for more. They are huge bottles and so far definitely seem worth paying the extra for. As an added extra I love the pump tops. They just make it easier.

Have you been purchasing anything this weekend? Have you tried any of the bits I got?

Lipstick Monday's Rimmel Diva Red

This is my second lipstick post. I love a red lip. I find I feel so confident when I'm wearing a red lipstick but finding the perfect shade can be tricky.

The Red lipstick needs to be perfect. I also worry about it not looking classy. Let me introduce you to Diva Red. I love the name for starters.

This lipstick is very pigmented and in one swipe you are left with a gorgeous colour. With such a bright lipstick lip liner is a must. The Rimmel one is great with this.

It has a slight pink tone to it which really makes it look lovely on the lips. I always get complimented and asked where it is from when I wear it. I find it lasts a good 5 hours when applied with lip liner. It's also not very drying on the lip, after 5 hours I find a second swipe of lipstick or lipbalm is needed.

This lipstick retails at £6.29 which is reasonable in my opinion.

A trick my nan taught me, when drinking poke your tongue out a little and you won't get lipstick over everything when you drink. Sounds odd I know.

What's your favourite red shade?

Review: Soap and Glory Heel Genius

Another Soap and Glory product. When I opened my Big Splendor I was really pleased to see a foot product. I definitely neglect my feet and should give them more TLC. Now's the time to polish those tootsies so they are ready for flip flop seasons (which I hope will approach quickly).

This is a thick cream that absorbs quickly into the skin. It's slightly minty scented from the menthol which is amazing after a long day as it works to cool the feet. It also contains Macadamia Oil (an amazing moisturiser, which we will be doing a post on the hair oil soon), glycerin, bilberry, orange and lemon fruit acid smoothers so while it has a slight minty smell it's not hugely overpowering.

It's a treatment you use at night. I slap a bit on my feet then put socks on and let it work it's magic while I snooze away. Then you get to wake up to lovely smooth feet. Perfect.

I've not tried many foot creams but this is one I'd repurchase when boots do our favourite 3 for 2 offers.

Have you tried Heel Genius? What's your favourite foot cream?

Love M xxx

I have a few foot creams lurking around my room, mainly unused as admittedly I absolutely hate feet with a passion!

It's not an uncommon hate mainly I suppose due to the overwhelming amount of people that don't take care of their feet, i.e. foot fungus and cracked heels, bleurgh!

I decided one day that however much I hate feet I wouldn't neglect them so they'd turn into the gross types that nobody wants to see....Roll on Christmas and the Big Splendour set!

I was shocked when I first used this cream, its BRIGHT BLUE!

I wasn't expecting that especially after using the Righteous Butter and Hand Food a few minutes before, I was used to the standard white!

However, I absolutely love this product. It smells divine, sinks in pretty quickly considering it's quite a thick cream, and then moisturises your feet whilst you sleep!

I would definitely purchase this again, though I can't imagine I will be running out any time soon as there's loads in the tube and you barely need any of it!

I'm sure M would agree with me when I say that it definitely gets our Stamp of Approval :)

What foot creams do you use? Do you hate feet as much as me?!

Boots 3 for 2 Spree!

As usual my alter ego got the better of me when I went shopping the other day.

My aim in Boots was to pick up the Real Techniques brushes whilst they were still on 3 for 2 ( we both got the stippling brush and I also got the blush brush too)

However my evil alter ego dragged me over for 'just a quick look' at the nail varnishes and make up.

Yeah sure.

I spotted the elusive Max Factor Fantasy Fire nail varnish and to be honest I previously thought it wasn't all that. But of course my evil twin loved it, and so did I when I tested it out!

Cue me being head over heels for the mini bottles and I suddenly had 3 in my basket. Naughty.

Fantasy Fire / Pretty in Pink / Silver

The Pretty in Pink is a replacement for a Natural Collection peach colour that I loved but it dried up.
It's a gorgeous pastel colour that will be perfect for spring and summer ahead.

Fantasy Fire was a splurge buy but I'm in love already, got a whole post of this ready to go already!

Silver is a jelly like polish that has a silver effect but is a dirty silver, if you understand me!
I absolutely love 'dirty metallics' as I like to call them.
Perfect for day, night and any occasion in between.

I'm sure there will be posts on all of these soon!

As if my evil alter ego hadn't already distracted me enough, I suddenly found myself with 3 Rimmel items in my basket too!

The Wake Me Up concealer was first in, me and M both loved the Wake Me Up foundation (review here) so the concealer was definitely high on my priority list.

After the amazing Inika blush was given to me by CutECOsmetics in a competition (review here) I've been looking for the perfect orangey lipstick or balm to match.

Coral Queen from Rimmel seems to fit the bill and I'm hoping that it will be a hit in my make up bag!

Lastly I picked up a 1000 Kisses Lip Tint in Perpetual Plum.

I've always been put off by the hype surrounding these and the Revlon Lip Butters etc, but actually the consistency of the tint coming out of the pen at one end and the balm at the other was pretty good in my books.

I was impressed that the tint could be built up, and the balm felt pretty good and moisturising too.
Hopefully another hand bag staple, good job I've bought a new one ;)

Hope you enjoyed the post!

Do you have an evil alter ego who throws things in your basket when you're not looking?? Ha!

Cocktail Hour!

To be perfectly honest, I should have started off the whole Cocktail Hour series with this one.

This is mine and M's absolute favourite cocktail of all time and whenever we go out its the number 1 that we start off with!

It is off course the wonderfully pink and world famous Cosmopolitan.

Vodka, cointreau and cranberry juice shaken up with ice and a slice of orange peel lit on the side to give it an amazing orange smell.

The main reason this one is so popular is largely due to the girls in Sex and the City bringing it back to the forefront of cocktail menus across the world, but I'm sure I would have tracked it down somehow!

It is quite frankly amazing, super sweet, largely alcoholic and obviously very pink!

Absolute lifetime favourite, I could quite easily drink this at every meal time, including breakfast, for the rest of my life ;)

(I am currently completing my alcohol free month for my 101 in 1001 days, as this is my favourite cocktail it's been a little testing to write without drooling over the pictures ha!)

Do you like Cosmo's?? Did you watch SATC when they were drinking it too?

Gym Rat Part 2: Help!

I previously wrote a post called Gym Rat where I explained my goals for the gym and what I was doing, eating etc.

And after a long hard slog of almost 4 months, my efforts have still made minimal difference.

I am still the same weight as the last post (having lost 5 lbs from when I first started in January) and I'm still eating as healthily as is humanly possible, attending the gym 3/4 times a week and generally having a more active lifestyle.

My previous goals were:

  1. Concentrate my cardio time to the cross trainer and swimming as I enjoy these and they burn the most amount of calories
  2. Increase the type of arm weights and number of reps for each type
  3. Complete as many crunches as humanly possible! (this is no easy feat for me!)
  4. Try out new classes so I don't get bored. First up is Body Combat, an aerobics based class with lots of punching and kicking movements.
I completed tasks 1, 2 and 4, with 3 being the most complicated for me and therefore the one I admittedly slacked off on.

However, having upped my cardio a hideous amount (my body hates me!) to burn off more calories, finding myself working along all of the fixed weights in the gym a few times and attempting new classes such as Body Combat and Abs and Stretch i would have thought this would have made a difference.

I found a list of measurements that I took of myself last March (2011), and compared them to now, and in all honesty I was GUTTED.

I was exactly the same everywhere....apart from my hips and stomach which I was BIGGER on.

Bearing in mind I can't eat bread and dairy foods too much as I'm intolerant, giving me a diet of porridge, salad and a healthy evening meal, you would have thought this amount of exercise would have made a difference wouldn't you??

I've also been walking the dog once a day in addition to what I was doing during the last post.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!

So looking forward from this and trying to be optimistic...My previous aim was my birthday which has been and gone, so my new aim is my last minute admission onto a university course in the USA during the summer term.
This means i have a reason to wear a bikini that i previously did not....yikes!

The time frame I have is 6 weeks....not an ideal amount of time but I just have to work with it.

I'm going to simplify my aims this time so that i will actually do all of them (hopefully?!)

  1. Up the number of repetitions and types of arm weights, arms are out all the time so anything I can do to tone them up at this late stage would be awesome
  2. Crunch, plank, side plank, twist etc etc etc my way into having some sort of toned midriff. I'm going to try every damn stomach exercise I can to tighten it up, as anything is better than the current state!
I want to look like this!

Quite simply: Curves and muscle.

Do you have any tips for me? Do you have a similar problem with not being able to lose weight/fat?
Any stomach or arm exercises or weights that you love doing and know work?

It's not that I'm too bothered by the number on the scales...but I'd like to be smaller than I am whether that reduces it or not.

This is my cry for help! Seriously if you're reading this and possibly have a tip, suggestion or even a passing thought....WRITE IT BELOW!!!!

Thanks :)

NOTD: No7 Crave Me

A few weeks ago I had a few No7 voucher lying around, so I decided it was time to add a few nail polishes to my collection!

I've heard good things about the No7 polishes, the brushes are supposed to be quite good, the colour range is quite expansive (though nothing too high fashion) and also gives a highly pigmented long lasting colour.

With this in mind, I bought a few! Of course ;)

This one is called 'Crave Me', I absolutely fell in love with the name, I'm always a sucker for them!

But also the colour is a wonderfully bright orange red that almost looks plastic-y (in a good way!)

The effect is so bright and eye catching M instantly had to go and buy it when we met up for drinks!

The colour is shown above with flash and below without, not too much of a difference which is always good as you know what you're getting.

Another good thing about this shade is that it looked equally good with a tan and without!

I was well impressed with this shade, especially with the vouchers as it only cost me £2.
I invested in a few other colours which will be sure to grace the pages of this blog soon, and also a clear top coat that is supposedly fast drying.

I'm always wary of this, as some people's 'fast drying' don't seem to be the same as others which is annoying!
However this top coat is worth every single penny of the £2 it cost me, it really does dry fast (regardless of whether it's a No7 polish or not) and makes any polish underneath looks SUPER SHINY, shinier than any other top coat I have used.

The only negative I can think of is that I'm not sure it's as long lasting as I would like, I'm used to it going for 3 days before having to apply another top coat, whereas this might require an extra coat every day, but I guess it depends what you're used to.

What do you think of the colour? Do you have any No7 polishes you think I should get next??
