NOTD - Brook Street

I'm into using bold and bright colours at the moment now that the sun is starting to shine woohoo!

This colour has barely left my hands recently.

This is Nails Inc's Brook Street:

I've had it a little while, maybe a few years and I still love it as much as I did when I bought it!

The bottle is probably half way through, which as we all know is a rare occurrence!

The pictures are taken with and without flash to give you an idea of the colour, its a very pinky coral which to be perfectly honest would go with ANYTHING, work, pub trips, Saturday nights out and holidays!

As with all Nail's Inc colours it goes on like a dream in 2 coats and lasts a good few days without chipping.

You can tell from my bottle that it gets it's fair share of usage.

I'm not sure if this colour is still available as I haven't checked, but if it is I would 100% recommend it which is why I decided to post about it!

I believe it would also suit someone of any skin tone, I'm super pale and when I fake tan it looks just as good, and bright colours like this are made for darker skin tones too!

It's clearly a must have buy for anyone!

(I've just checked this out and it is still available and costs £11, Go buy it! You will never look back!)

Are you a fan of these kind of colours?? Do you have anything similar for when this one runs out?

Cocktail Hour!

This week's Cocktail Hour comes courtesy of M, when she told me she'd had this cocktail I was unbelievably jealous and foaming at the mouth!

I'm talking about TGI Friday's Silver Mercedes:

A fruity, frozen blend of SKYY vodka, cranberry juice and orange sherbet poured over Champagne.

This sounds to me like an updated version of our absolute favourite cocktail which is the infamous Cosmopolitan.

I like frozen cocktails every now and then as I don't have them very often but they do give a nice twist on an otherwise normal cocktail.
For an occasion though you cannot go wrong with champagne! As I'm sure every girl knows ;)

This cocktail looks delish, we're planning an evening coming up with a lot of new cocktails that aren't as popular so should be something different for you!

What do you think of frozen cocktails? Have you tried any from TGI's? Any suggestions?

Beauty Rehab

As my previous post went down so well with everyone trying to encourage me to use up my products, I decided to start a regular (ish) post called Beauty Rehab.

It will basically be an empties post but I don't know when I'll be putting them up as it depends how fast I use stuff up, when I have something to say I'll post it!

Inevitably being a girl surrounded by other girly girls I ended up becoming completely obsessed with make up and cosmetics at some point.

I seem to have tonnes of the stuff, and for some reason I have an emotional attachment to them all and don't want to use them....weirdo!

So ladies, it is time for me to make a start through the drawers, boxes and suitcases (eek!) full of products in my bedroom.
I'm going hell for leather on the moisturisers at the moment as I seem to have accumulated a massive amount of tubs and jars and tubes of the stuff.

Here's what I have managed to get through so far...

Love gradual tanners, my pale skin can go orange too quickly sometimes!

Batiste is the business! Small conditioner from Body Shop was also gorgeous! I'd buy it again.

Can't rotate this picture for some reason....all gorgeous body butters and I'd buy them again if i had the room!!

Elle MacPherson Scrubs were good but I think I've used cheaper ones that were better.
Good old Simple toner, never feel like it does much but it does remove any remaining make up.

Peep Show mascara is a pretty good buy, but my contact lenses didn't agree with the fibres in it so I'm afraid I wouldn't buy it again.
Trying to get into anti-aging products, these No7 Protect and Perfect Serum testers were fab. I'd be tempted to buy the full size when the 3 for 2 and £5 vouchers offers are on again.

So there we have it!
Hopefully there will be more in the next post, do you think I've done well so far?!
I've no idea how to gauge it really!

Have you been doing a similar thing to me?
What do you have the most of in your collection?

A Second Dainty Roses Haul

You may have seen my first haul here, I absolutely love this website and this type of jewellery. I'd expressed to Lisa (the owner of dainty roses) that I really wanted the Golden Snitch necklace she tweeted me to let me know it was back in stock.

I just couldn't refuse, it's such a cute necklace and one I know I'll wear lots. It was £12.50 which I think is reasonable as it has a cute clock inside which I think adds a different useful touch, as when my phone runs out I have no way of telling the time. I use my phone so much it does die most days.

How cute is this, I love the way it looks on. I'm not a huge harry potter fan I just really liked this necklace. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think it's cute of too much?

Lisa was also kind enough to send me one of her new brooches. It was a lovely surprise when my parcel came, it's a gorgeous baby blue, I can't wait to wear it.

While I was ordering I had to get more rings, after how much I loved the blue one from my first haul, I decided to do a 3 ring goody bag which cost £6.50, I think these rings are really nice for the summer. I think I'll be getting lots of wear out of the white one. I love wearing rings, I only wear one on each hand though so I try to alternate them lots so I get lots of wear out of my increasing ring collection.
One final photo of it just as I love it.

What jewellery websites do you buy from?

Also if you order before sun 15th you can get the free glitter bow brooch too!

Love M
