Miss Patisserie Spring Blogger Event

Good morning!

This weekend we were invited to an event at the Miss Patisserie store to see their new collection and it was so much fun!

The store was as beautiful as always, and there were so many lovely products to have a look at and smell that we got stuck in as soon as possible.

The store is really well laid out and although simple, everything is easy to access and it looks really stylish.
The use of wooden crates on the walls for each type of bath bomb looks really cool, and also extremely difficult to choose what you want as they all look amazing!

The window display is always a favourite, the rows of their bath bakes are so pretty and the flowers cascading all along the window are perfect for spring time. In fact I'd like to have a wall of these flowers in my house!

We browsed the store and basically tried as many products as we could.

Charlotte was in store and lovely as always, she showed us a few different scrubs, body butters and dry oils. I never really thought too much of scrubbing and moisturising my hands but dear lord, my hands were so soft that it was unbelievable - I will certainly be paying them a lot more attention from now on.

M particularly liked the sound of the coffee scrubs, they have three different types and are supposed to be great for cellulite.

During our demonstration Charlotte showed us the Bath Crumble, which is basically a bag full of crushed up bath bombs. The bath art is beautiful, with all of the colours mixed together the patterns and swirls are amazing!

They have a great range of candles too, lots of different scents and the lemon grass one particularly caught my eye. Citrus scents are my favourite!
I bought my mum a candle at Christmas and she loved the scent, the candle didn't last very long as she had it lit all the time.

The facial oils have been something I've had my eye on for a while but as I've got two in my stash at the moment I am trying to wait out and buy it when I've run out. The Goji oil is definitely the one I'd choose, it smells great and a tiny bit goes a long way!

The Bath Shards are a new addition and look really exciting, they are large flat pieces that you can snap off and place into the bath. There are three types altogether and one has a bit of fizz in. I can't find the full info on the website yet but you really need to try these, for £2.80 you can get a packet and you just need to snap off a section and let it melt in the bath water.

There were so many new things and beautiful sets to try out, and with some discount available on the day me and M both spent so much! We have a lot of posts coming up with plenty of beautiful bath bombs and wonderful smelling products, have you got any favourites from Miss Patisserie that you would recommend??

We can't wait to try out everything!

Fitness Friday: Fit Clothes Wishlist

Hey there!

Today's post is MUCH later than planned courtesy of a mental week (house buying eek!) and my birthday so today's post is a wishlist of all of the new sportswear that I'm seeing all over the shops at the moment. it's too beautiful to ignore and I am sure I need some new bits to add to my collection and give me some more motivation to keep fit.

Florence and Fred (F&F) have an amazing range of sportswear that I had no idea about!
Here's a few favourites of their range:

The sports bra is really cute and only £12, the matching leggins arre only £15!
They also have some great basics and their neon coloured trainers look really cool too, especially for only £20!

Body Science is a new brand to me but I've seen lots of their leggings and bras on the internet recently; and it's not hard to see why!

These bras cost £36 each and are beautiful, I'm not brave enough to just wear these in the gym but they'd look fab under a black vest too! Hazel Wallace is modelling the camo bra and I've previously featured her in a Fitness Friday post here!

I also love their leggings which are mostly black and have patterns running through them, this is the Dahlia print leggings (view from the back shown) and they come in at £80.
You can find them here at Active in Style.

Lorna Jane is another brand I've heard of courtesy of Hazel Wallace and their Avana Excel tank top is definitely on my wishlist, Spring colours and a clever cut in at the waist to make you appear slimmer, lovely! This tank top is £40.

I love the patterns on these leggings and bra too, how can you not want to wear them?!

Leggings are £63 and the bra is £41.

I have definitely spent my birthday money 10 times over in my head after researching these! I love the new floral prints and brighter colours, everyone needs a bit more colour in their life right!

Which one is your favourite? Have you heard of these brands before? Did you know Florence and Fred did active wear?

I love that there are so many more options now for sports wear on the high street!

St David's Spring Event

Hey All

On Thursday night L and I headed to Wahaca to see some of the Spring lines coming into the St Davids Shopping Centre. I've not been to Wahaca before so was really excited to see it as I'd heard lots of good things from many people including L who's been a few times.

Untitled

Wahaca is spread over three floors with amazing lighting coming down from the ceiling in the middle. It feels like it has a great vibe and would especially be amazing on the weekend! We headed up to the third floor and one of the first things I saw was amazing floating chairs and gorgeous yellow print dresses.

Untitled

Glass of prosecco, swinging chair and gorgeous clothes make me happy!

It was great to chat through some Spring trends - denim, 70s, yellow and tropical prints, and see some clothes from stores in the centre. The amazing Ted Baker jeans were only £85 which we both thought was quite reasonable and less than we thought. We've both decided we'd rather pay for quality and classic pieces that can be switched up and these are a great example of that.

The ditsy floral print and amazing yellow make this dress perfect for spring time and weddings!

Tropical print shirts are a great way to brighten up work wear and still look smart. It can be hard to find colour in work clothes and seeing the great yellow shirts made us both glad spring is coming, to quote one of the lovely ladies "no one can be mean to you if you're wearing yellow as it's a happy colour!". I love that!

Untitled

Untitled

We're not quite convinced on flares being back but love all the floppy hats. If only we had the confidence to rock them casually!

Untitled

It was also great to chat to the guys from Vivienne Westwood and hear the stories behind the designs and about where some of the products come from. We loved chatting to them so much we pretty much ran into the store after the event for a browse having never gone in before as we'd both assumed it would be too expensive. Basics were actually very reasonable and I'm eyeing up jeans and jewellery once this month is gone with it's five day weekend.

As we left we were lucky enough to be given the spring goodie bags. If you are in St Davids shopping and spend £70 or more you'll get a goodie bag with spring bits in and discounts.

Untitled

If you spend over £200 in one day you get the above a months free car parking for April worth up to £600! Some more details can be found here. We don't want to spoil the surprise of the goodie bag!

What trends are you going to be buying this spring? Thanks for having us St David's, we'll be shopping !

Love L and M

Spring in Primark

Well hello there!

You know it seems that Spring might be winging its way into our lives, there has actually been a fair few April showers but aside from that the blue skies have begun returning along with the SUN! Shocking, it's hard to remember what that's like sometimes.

But that aside I went to Primark last weekend and picked up a few spring themed goodies!

022

023

These beautiful mint coloured travel bag and wash bag are just an example.
A lot of my wash bags have been free from magazines and the like, and over the years have turned very grubby! Seeing these I couldn't resist picking them up and throwing out the old ones.

The colour and patterns are really cute and although they are pretty basic inside without any additional pockets and compartments they're perfect for travelling with, which is exactly what I need.

024

025

And for £4 for the 'Essentials' bag and £5 for the 'Travel' bag I couldn't resist.

The set is so cute!

There is also a 'Make Up' bag available in the same range.

026

027

029

Muslin cloths are the bane of my washing, they're always dirty and always piling up. 3 face cloths in Primark cost £1.30 so its about time they also got changed up, there's only so much mascara they can take!

030

032

Summer shoes are something that Primark do so well, the massive range of colours is awesome and there's almost anything you could possibly want!

These aqua coloured lace up pumps are a staple every year for me but I normally get them in grey, these will brighten up any outfit over the next few months and if I somehow manage to ruin them in the rain (seems to happen every year.....) then for £3 I can buy another!

Such is the fickle world of fashion that although they're in for every summer the colour of the moment changes, but at this price it's affordable.

033

034

These beauties I also couldn't leave behind, cream shoes are perfect for wearing with almost anything and I wore mine until they fell apart!
These feel really soft to touch as well, so even though they have so many cut out details that I worry would act like a cheese grater on my feet these actually feel so soft.

035

What have you been buying recently? Have you snapped up any wardrobe updates for the Spring season?

I really need to brighten up my wardrobe so I'm going to work really hard on doing that this year as I own far too much black and grey!

Lush Mother's Day and Spring Event

Hi there!

Last Monday we were lucky enough to be invited to a Lush blogger event, we always love attending these as they're a fun way to get to know all of the products and play around with them, as well as meeting lots of other bloggers too as there is always a big group of us!

The store is always such a happy and colourful place, its a pleasure to visit.

The latest range of Spring and Mother's Day themed products are so beautiful - the golden eggs and the carrots are so adorable! Who isn't drawn to something so glittery as the Golden Egg??

UntitledUntitled

L was massively surprised that she really loved the smell of the Carrot Soap, she would have happily taken home a whole carrot!

The Mother Superior bubble bars were also amazing - how do they make them look so cute with their faces!

We also loved the Instagram frame that they had in store, you just know we were loving this. It's such a great idea for us bloggers who spend so much time on social media!

We also spent some time trying out the new scents that Lush have created, it's so interesting to see how the smell changes on different peoples skin and reacts to create different smells.

We both picked up a few things from the store (as always!) but were lucky enough to come away with a few goodies too.

Yummy Mummy is a gorgeous lilac shower gel, Secret Garden is a super cute bath bomb with flowers in and Golden Egg is just the most gorgeous glittery egg that I can't take my eyes off!

M has already used Secret Garden and here are some quick snaps:
