The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner

Hey all

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now. Whilst wondering past The Body Shop store in Cardiff a few months back I saw an offer where if you bought a shampoo you got the conditioner free, I hadn't actually tried any hair products from The Body Shop so decided to test them out (I have the hair scrub now too which I can't wait to try!)

Since going Cruelty Free I've almost rediscovered The Body Shop as a brand and I'm totally in love with so many products, and obviously I've convinced L too (you can find all of our reviews on The Body Shop Here and Here)

With one exception (rare marula link Here) I've never fallen in love with a shampoo and conditioner so quickly! The banana shampoo and conditioner are for normal to dry hair, as my hair is bleached and not cut as regularly as it should be it really needs a good condition and this does that!

Both of these are formed without silicones (we did a chemical of the week on silicones back on the blogs early days if you want to read about benefits of not having them in products!), with community trade bananas and of course cruelty free! As a brand I love what is behind the body shop!

The shampoo lathers up easily in the hair and leaves it feeling clean but not dry. The conditioner is thick and glides through my hair. I leave this on for a few minutes then rinse off. I've been so impressed with how soft this has left my hair feeling and easy it is to work with after. Plus the banana smell stays pretty well for the first day, but it's not too overpowering!

My brother swears by the ginger shampoo range as he has dandruff. Lately every product I try from The Body Shop I love.

Do you have any recommendations?

Love M
