Review: OPI Nail Envy

Some of you may remember I picked up a bottle of OPI nail envy back at the beginning of February. Found in the blog post here. I really wanted to give this a good go before I wrote a glowing review of it.

I am now about half way through my bottle. I apply it as the instructions state, two coats on the first day then another coat every other day. Then after a week take it off and start the process again.

My nails before were peeling and very thin and weak.

My nails before

I can honestly say from using this they have improved so much. I wouldn't say my nails are super long now but they are so much stronger and the peeling of them have decreased, there has been less breakages of them. The tips also appear whiter, I'm not sure if this is just coincidence. Once this bottle has finished I will definitely be repurchasing. It really is worth the extra money and better than any others I've tried.

My nails now. Seeing the difference between the photos has surprised me!

I still tend to paint my nails once a week as I think they look boring without being painted. I picked mine up on ebay in the matte version (only as it was cheaper, I'd prefer the shiny version but it's much dearer) I purchased the Matte version from this seller and it's only 6.49 now.

Have you tried OPI nail envy? Is it something you're considering?

Mothers Day

As it's Mothers Day we decided to not do a chemical of the week post this week but they will be back next week.

We hope you all have a lovely day with your families. What did you get your Mums or receive as a Mum yourself?

I got my mum a Cath Kidston shopper bag, a selection of lush stuff and some jewellery.

Have a lovely Sunday

Review: Soap and Glory Pulp Friction

I've been through my fair share of body scrubs and I really have to say that this one rates really highly, ...and possibly the highest.

Soap and Glory's Pulp Fiction is a sand coloured scrub with red and black grains in it.

I was really surprised at how much it lathered up, which was super amazing as I hate it when they stick on your skin and coat it with an oily type substance that has to be washed away after.
(personal pet hate of mine, applying fake tan after this is NOT ideal...)

This scrub has NONE of that, it lathered up like your normal shower gel, wasn't abrasive but had enough grains in to have an effect and give my skin a good exfoliation.

Cocktail Hour!

Me and M decided to go to a new cocktail bar which conveniently has a 'happy hour' style price reduction until 8pm, meaning their cocktails are only £4 woohoo!

We decided, in the name of blogging of course, that we need to frequent this little beauty a little more often! So we took it upon ourselves to test a few drinks we hadn't heard of before.

This week's is a French Martini.

I'm not sure I've ever had a martini before, aside from adding in a martini-esque type spirit to a alcohol heavy cocktail bowl at uni!
So this was interesting for me.

This is a photo taken from the menu of the ingredients:
