If you've followed us for a while you'll know L and I are both big Antipodes fan, their skincare is some of my favourite and I usually use at least one item a day, I'm currently hooked on the Manuka Honey Eye Cream (you can see all of our Antipodes reviews here)
So when some of my friends gave me a lipstick last year I couldn't wait to try it, in true blogger fashion I kept it in a box until I had photographed it and forgot about it until a few weeks ago and the weather brightened up. What I love about make up gifts from other people is you can discover new things you wouldn't have tried.
They got me the shade West Coast Sunset which is described as a smokey red orange. I've always wanted to go for the more orange tones but never grab them, I love a red lip but tend to always go for darker shades or more pink red tones. I think that's why it's taken me so long to discover it.
As soon as I put it on a few weeks ago it was love and it's been in my bag since. It's the perfect summer shade and brightens up my face. It's made me realise I can wear more of the orange toned reds and pushed me out of my comfort zone a bit.
As for the lipstick itself it's a lovely comfortable formula that glides on and really lasts well, it's not drying on the lips at all but doesn't seem to move about much either. They contain a range of oils to keep your lips conditioned as you wear them as well.
The Antipodes lipsticks retail for £19.99 and are worth every penny in my opinion, I'm going to hopefully grab Remarkably Red soon.
