10 Things I would Repurchase

I've been meaning to do a post like this for a while. I wanted to do a post on all the products I love so when Lauren from All things beauty, make up and shopping tagged us in this I was pleased.

I think there is a big difference between liking a product and going out and repurchasing a product repeatedly. These are my top 10 products I'd go and re buy at the moment.

1. Revlon ColorStay Foundation in shade 220 natural beige.

Revlon Color Stay

If you have pale skin I cannot recommend this enough. They have such variety for pale shades. I'm the fourth shade in this range and for comparison Mac NW20 is too dark for me. This blends beautifully into the skin and really does last. Perfect for oily/combination skin types.

2. Origins Super Spot Remover

Origins Super Spot Remover

This deserves all the raves it has gotten. It really does shrink and heal spots quicker. It's worth every penny and I can see it lasting a while.

3. Mac large contour brush 168 and Real Techniques Stippling brush.

Mac 168 brush and Real Techniques stippling brush

These are the two brushes I couldn't do without. I probably prefer the Mac one more but purely because if needed I could apply my foundation with fingers. As you can see they need washing (bad blogger). They are used most days and I love them.

4. Sleek blush by 3 palette in Lace, No7 blush in Honey and Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle. Technically three items but these three products make up my daily cheeks. The No7 blush is the perfect contour shade!

f1d99776

All three of these are amazing, I use the No7 under my cheek bone, One of my sleek blushers on the apples of the cheeks and my Mac MSF to highlight. They look amazing together.

5. Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter.

Rimmel Match Perfection

I prefer this to the cult blogger fave collection 2000 one, I really like how it can be used to cover blemishes and how it brightens my under eye area. It lasts all day. The only down side is it has a brush applicator so isn't great when being used on spots (hello bacteria) but it's easy to apply to the hand then on the face.

6. Lauren's Way Darker than Dark

Lauren's way tan review

I was very sceptical of this product. Could a celeb branded product beat St Tropez. After seeing so many positive reviews and the fact it's lots cheaper than St Tropez I had to try it. It really gives a lovely colour, fades well and best of all no fake tan smell. And don't worry it doesn't turn you Orange.7

7. Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

This perfume is amazing and worth every pretty penny it costs. The smell is divine and really lasts all day. This had finally knocked Vera Wang Princess of my top spot.

8. No7 Top Coat

No7 Top coat

This top coat is very quick drying and leaves nails with such a glossy finish. It's amazing and has already been repurchased twice! I always use my boots vouchers to buy at least one bottle of this.

9.  Maybelline Colossal Volume

Maybelline Colossal Volume

No repurchase or love list would be complete without this product for me. I've been using it for 3-4 years now and while I've tried many others I always go back to this one. It gives amazing volume, doesn't flake off and just makes lashes look beautiful.

10. MUA Heaven and Earth Palette

MUA heaven and earth palette

As you can see, well loved and well used. I love this, I use it most days. I love that it also contains a colour perfect for my eyebrows and the shadows are long lasting and don't leave you with tons of fall out down your face.

That's my list. I haven't included skin care or lipsticks as I love so many lipsticks I couldn't put one and my tastes change a lot and while I love my Clinique and Origins moisturisers I'm not done trying out other.

Is any of the stuff on my list on yours?

I tag, but would love to see any of these anybody does. I think posts like this are so helpful to see what people really love

Lipstick Monday's GOSH Back to Nature

I thought today I'd do another Lipstick Monday (link here) for you. I love to have a nosey through people's make up collections.

Today is the GOSH dual product for Cheeks n Lips in the shade 01 back to nature.

I love a cream blush so when a friend from Canada kindly sent me a box of goodies I was excited to see this.

This is the first GOSH product I own and I will definitely be trying out more. I'm keen to try some proper lipsticks of theirs now so any colour recommendations would be appreciated.

It's a gorgeous creamy finish product in the lovely nude colour and works really well on the cheeks and lips. I love this shade. It's another of those your lips but better shade. I can never have enough colours like this. When I'm not feeling like a bright colour it's nice to have a variety of finishes to choose from. This is more of a glossy finish and when on the cheeks is perfect for that dewy glow look.

Like the last post I did featuring the sleek pout polish this product does come in a pot so it's a case of using a finger or a brush. Out of laziness I usually use my finger.

It lasts well on the cheeks but not as long on the lips but that's expected. I reach for this when I'm not feeling like my MAC Fanfare (review here)

Have you tried any dual cheek and lip products? What's your thoughts on them?

Saturday Night In

As I'm currently still writing my dissertation (almost finished woo!) me and M decided to have a girly night in and pig out.

M is the master baker and I pride myself on my ability to eat large amounts of cake, so was SO excited when she suggested she'd make us an Oreo cupcake.

Just look at this!

It was amazing, and covered in Oreo flavoured whipped cream....yum!

We also decided to get a bit creative and have a go at making sushi...I thought it was going to be a bit disastrous but actually it wasn't too bad.

First you boil the rice for 10 minutes and leave to cool for 30 mins before adding the vinegar.
Then you spread it out over the seaweed and place on your fillings before rolling it:

This one is tuna and red peppers and the one below is salmon, cream cheese and red peppers!

This is what they looked like sliced up...the ends were not quite so easy to keep in one piece though!

We think a sharper knife would have made it a bit easier.

Then as always we proceeded to paint our nails and watch X factor (standard Saturday night viewing!)

I borrowed one of M's indigo coloured No7 nail polishes and then applied my new Technic nail polish, the one that's a dupe for OPI Rainbow Connection.

Here's what they turned out like:

One coat above, and two coats below:

I love how glittery it is!!

Some of you may be thinking that sushi and a bit of cake isn't really a pig out night.

This is a picture of the table where the rest of the food we ate was:

Hahaaaaaa! Cheese, bread, olives, tortilla chips, dips.....yummyyyyyyy!!

I was loving it last night and ate my body weight in food but today I feel hungover as I'm not used to eating fatty stuff with being on a health kick.
Was a great night but I'm currently not appreciating how much I ate!

How do you spend your Saturday nights in?
M also gave me a mini fashion show as we're having a BIG night out next week, I'm sure there will be a post with our hair/makeup/clothes that we wear!

Do you enjoy these kind of posts?
We love being nosy into other peoples weekend antics!

Sneaky eBay shopping...

I don't know about you but when you haven't got any money and you know you shouldn't spend the tiny bit you have left, all you can think about is spending it....right?

On top of that my mum knows how little money I have and is therefore watching me like a hawk!

Because of this I have resulted to scouring the internet in my free time. I managed to avoid actual shops as the temptation is far too high, but online I can browse without feeling the fabrics, smelling the lotions and potions and seeing the deals.

That is of course, excluding ebay, whose low prices and bidding excitement gets me every time.

Particularly when I find a good deal on something I want, and THEN finding an even BETTER deal!
Just cannot resist it and the shopaholic inevitably takes over.

Because I'm sure we all know that spending money online just isn't REAL money is it??

Exactly.

Anyhow, enough of my ramblings, here's my random purchases from eBay of the past few weeks.
You can probably see a bit of a theme developing, I hope you enjoy!

Before you think I;m crazy for buying feathers...I've been using them in recent nail designs and they've turned out awesome! Will be posting about them soon.

Whilst I was searching for feathers I came across the ones below and couldn't resist but snap them up for the £1.24 bargain!

Look how beautiful they are!

I was hoping these would also look amazing on my nails too but the dyes seem to react with the nail varnish and run all over the place!
So I will have to do something else with these, if anyone has any ideas??

They're too pretty to hide away.

I also bought some dotting tools in different sizes and cannot wait to use these, I have a normal size one but there are so many designs I wanted to try with smaller and larger dots I couldn't resist the set.

They were £2.59 with postage and are double ended! They're from this seller.

I've also been meaning to get my hands on some nail tape as I've seen some amazing designs with this!
I bought a pack of 12 different colours and finishes from this seller before I realised that actually it didn't include a black or white which was what I wanted most (silly me!) so I ended up buying them separately.

I bought both black and white nail tape from this seller who does a 3 for 2 deal and I also got another colour for free!

The blue glitter polish was from this seller, and the other two were from this seller
Both were less than £2 each with postage so definitely a bargain!

Lastly I thought I'd buy some nail stickers as they're such an easy way of adding a finishing touch to an otherwise simple nail.
These were £1.49 with postage and you pay for 5 sheets.
I thought I'd increase my chances of getting better sheets by buying two but unfortunately they weren't that great and I had some duplicates which was a little pointless!

There are some nice white flowers and swirls however that will definitely come in handy.
Just the luck of the ebay draw I guess!

What do you think of eBay? Are you a victim of a sneaky purchase on there too?

I love and loathe it.
So many bargains to be had but selling things is a nightmare!

(p.s. how ridiculous is my nail art getting?? I've gone from not trying anything to buying it all! Obsessed.)
