Life Update - 2018 so far!

Hello everyone! It's been quite a long time since my last blog post, I'm normally pretty on the ball with scheduling posts, tweets and having my images edited and ready to go bit the last few weeks have been so busy I haven't even had time to think straight!

My last post was 3 weeks ago, so I thought I'd share some of the things I've been up to recently and share some snaps. I love seeing pictures of things that other people have been up to so I hope you like seeing mine too!

Bottomless Lunch, Cocktails and Cider in Bristol

Back in October we finally (and I mean FINALLY) met up with the lovely Sophie (Sophie Rose) and Laura (previously Lola and Behold, now Laura Kate Life)

We've known these ladies from the very beginning of The CSI Girls, which is actually 6 years old this week - Happy Bloggerversary to us! We've spoken regularly on Instagram and Twitter with these ladies for the entire duration of this and we all thought it was about time we met up as rarely a day goes by without some kind of social interaction. So we picked a day in October and it happened!!

Cardiff Meet

Yesterday we went to the Cardiff Meet. We usually try to go to the meets around us as it's always a fun day and it's great to hang out with all the lovely blogger ladies and see familiar faces and usually meet a few new ones too.

We started off meeting in Bunkhouse. It's not somewhere I've been before but it was such a cute location and had all of us cooing over the interior and loving that our tea was severed in tea pots with proper tea cups (we forget to take pictures off the cuteness). You can sit around on day beds and it has bunting and birdcage lampshades as well as lots of quirky furniture.

After we had all turned up we headed off to do some shopping. It was a smaller group of us which gave it a nice casual atmosphere and we could all chat together. We headed off to John Lewis and L and I were definitely drooling over the Nars counter. They have some gorgeous eye shadow duos and the concealer seems amazing!!! Have you tried it?

This is the Alhambra duo! I'm in love with it. It's most shimmery in real life.

We also wondered round boots where lots of us couldn't resist the new Bourjois Primer. The Happy Light Matte Serum Primer felt amazing. It blends onto the skin and feels light. It mattifies really well and I'm hoping it'll work with foundation. It's only £6.99 at the moment.

It was a miserable day so we ended up heading to Cosy Club a bit early. L and I only stopped for a drink as we were off to Bristol to see cats. The menu looked great though.

Thanks to Georgina and Helen for arranging it all for us and to the House in Town for the cute earrings (tartan and button studs!! So cute), dirty works (I can't wait to try this body butter. I'm hoping it'll be a cheaper alternative to soap and glory!) and benefit (L and I were definitely pleased to see They're Real).

Check out the lovely ladies we met this time here.

The House In Town offer great jewellery, accessories and some cute scarves!

Thanks ladies for arranging it and it was great to chat to you all again!!

Love M

Bristol Blogger Meet Up (BBMeet)

Hi all!

Hope you're having a great week! If not...never fear as it's well over the half way mark and the weekend is nearly here woop!

You've probably seen some posts and tweets about the Bristol blogger Meet up last weekend (#bbmeet) so we thought we'd our own two cents to the mix.

I had been to an event and met some other bloggers before but M hadn't so this was a great thing for us both to go to, especially as it was in Cabot Circus which I was yet to go to since it was built (shocker!)

We agreed to go a few weeks before but due to us both being so busy we hadn't had much chance to read the tweets about it and so had no idea who was going, how many nor that there was a goodie bag!

We turned up at Frankie and Benny's at 11am along with everyone else and were so shocked to find that there was around 35 of us taking up 2 rather long tables!

We sat down and started chatting to some really lovely girls, all with their own blogs and got chatting about our nails, hair, favourites etc as I'm sure you can imagine.
It was great to network and meet with so many new people, and meet up with others I've met previously (aka Georgina from Twinklin Pixi)

We were both far too busy chatting and eating to take any photos (oops!) so instead I will show you a few quick snaps of the goody bag that we received:

I genuinely couldn't believe how much stuff was in there, it was such a shock considering we didn't even know we were getting them!

A massive massive thank you to Sasha and Alessia for arranging this, it surpassed any expectation I had as I just imagined it was a few of us meeting up for food and drinks.
I am SO EXCITED to start using these you would not believe!

Also a big shout out to Alessia's mum for the absolutely gorgeous tags that she made for each bag, how cute are these??

The only downside was the fact that there were so many people that we didn't get to meet everyone, nor exchange links as I'm sure there are some great blogs/bloggers that we've missed.

So we were thinking of compiling a list of everyone who attended so you can 'meet' those that you never got around to talking to :)

So comment below with your link if you attended and I'll add them into this post so everyone can see!
If you could share this post through twitter etc as well I'd be really grateful as through the hashtag I've seen some lovely blogs that I didn't know about before.
I'll add as many as I can and the rest is up to you!
Comment, tweet, share etc etc. Let's get everyone who went on this list!

It was lovely to meet everyone that we spoke to and cannot wait for another meet up again!

Fancy arranging another one soon Sasha and Alessia?? ;)

Cardiff Fashion Week

During the week I was luckily enough to talk to Georgina from Makeup-Pixi3 and she told me about the event on Saturday night for Cardiff Fashion Week.

I was SO excited as we'd both tried to get tickets to attend the Thursday event but unfortunately were too slow and completely missed the tickets as they sold out so fast.

This was the first time ever that Cardiff has held it's own Fashion Week and we were really excited.
You can find some more information here.

Unfortunately by the point M had already booked tickets to go home for the weekend so I would be going on my own....but I told myself to man up and go and meet some other bloggers and enjoy myself!

I met Georgina and a few other bloggers before the event for a quick drink in Starbucks to get to know each other. I will link everyone at the bottom of the page so it's easier!

After this we made our way to Jamie's Italian for some food and drinks.
As you can imagine the food was OUTSTANDING.

I spent most of the time just staring at the food and sipping on some Prosecco, yummmmm!

After this we went outside to watch the final catwalk of the show, the finale if you like!

Here are some of the photos I took!
We were lucky enough to be at the end of the cat walk so we had the models walking straight at us, there were some other camera men there too so please ignore them!

They opened up with a dance routine, and I am absolutely in love with these shoes and the leopard print jacket at the front!
I really need to find out where those are from!

After this the evening gowns from Coast came out....and I want every single one!

These two are my personal favourites. The girls look stunning in them and are so simple but look great.

Love floaty maxi dresses!

I know M is personally after the dress on the right in the above picture, it's gorgeous and flowy!

Office wear was next and they performed another dance routine.
I was just impressed they managed to move in pencil skirts and sky high heels so well!!

Mmmm, male models in suits!

These kinds of dresses are my FAVOURITE!

I love sparkle and the heels here are from Quiz, NEED!

Cardiff Fashion Week

I especially need the heels if they make my legs look this good??!
This model looks amazing in them!

It was a lovely surprise to find out that Calvin Klein also had a part to play, especially when the male model strutted his way out.

Hello!

Cardiff Fashion Week

I also really like the underwear on the model below, so will have to go in there and check them out as the print was gorgeous.

Cannot remember the brand here but thought the male models looked pretty good!

They finished off the cat walk show with another routine/song with the sparkliest glittery black dresses known to earth and they looked amazing under the lights.

I especially like the one at the front of the photo above!
She can move in it (below) and its so well fitting and comfortable looking as well as looking stunning.

After this a group of us went to Nandos for some chicken and a gossip!

I had the lushest time meeting everyone and can't wait for the next meet up.
The cat walk show was great to watch and as you can imagine I will have to stay away from Jamie's because I will surely put on a stone every time I go otherwise!

Hope you enjoyed the post!
Do you enjoy watching fashion shows and cat walks?
What do you like from the pictures I took?
