Millie Mackintosh for Nouveau Lashes Soho Lash

Hey All

Today is my big brother's wedding day! How exciting, I'm wearing this beautiful Hybrid Dress from The Blonde Salad boutique (amazing customer service if you are looking for a great dress!). As soon as I spied it I had to have it! I love the bright lime green on it and think it'll look amazing with a tan.

I thought I'd share the lashes I'll be wearing for the big day. For ages I've wanted to try the Millie Mackintosh lashes, not only is she a beauty and always looks flawless but Tanya Burr uses them lots too. A few weeks back I took part in a challenge (I'll be posting on it soon, I've finally found a glue that rivals eylure!) that these were the prize for.

These are the Soho Lash. I wore them a few weeks back and love how they add volume and length without looking OTT so as soon as I put them on I was instantly sold for the wedding.

Untitled

I love that they come with mini tweezers. I am forever losing tweezers so having them in the pack means they'll always be nearby when I need them! For once I also actually like a glue that isn't eylure. The glue dries quickly and sticks well. I always find it takes me two attempts to apply lashes.

I like that they lightly fan out and provide a more subtle volume!

On they thicken the lash line and draw subtle attention to my eyes!

Ignore the glue on them, clearly I was having a bad lash day this day! They have a soft curl and blend easily with my natural lashes.

With the glue they last all evening, are easy to apply and I'll easily get a good few wears out of them. The whole range is coming on holiday with me. I love a bit of false lash and love how these can be worn in the evening without looking too much.

Have you tried the Millie Mackintosh lashes? I'm so glad I finally got my hands on them!

Love M

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hey there!

I'm sure you've all heard of micellar water by now and have probably got a stash of your own on your dressing table. I have made my way through a few different micellar waters and the L'Oreal version was the latest one.

Having realised I was running low on a trip to Boots I noticed that the Garnier version was on offer for £2 something for a 400ml bottle, I couldn't refuse.

102

I have been using this over the last few weeks and it has been great. It removes eye make up really easily especially eye pencils such as the 24/7 eye pencils from Urban Decay which can be a bit of a nightmare to remove as they're so long lasting.

It has also been really useful for getting rid of lipstick, I tried some on the other day only to realise it was the wrong shade to go with my bright pink top and this whipped it off in a flash.

101

This was created for use on even sensitive skin which generally I don't have but my eye area is one of the most sensitive areas known to man kind! Anything seems to trigger it so it was reassuring to know that this one didn't cause a reaction. It is hypo-allergenic, and dermatologically and opthalmologically tested so it shouldn't cause a reaction but you never know!

The only issue I can see so far is that 400ml is allegedly 200 uses.....I'm not convinced. After a few uses this bottle has already visibly gone down so I can't see how it would last 200.

103

Needless to say this removes stubborn mascara and lipstick stains in one easy swipe without scrubbing and rubbing at my skin and irritating it further. Especially when it's on offer for less than £3!

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? Are you a fan? Which is your favourite?

A5 Argan+ Deep Repair Shampoo

Morning lovelies!

I've been slacking off on the Fitness Fridays posts so i apologise for that. My creations haven't been worthy of a recipe post and my routine is pretty much the same as the last update, but i will have a post for next week for sure!

My mum has been into shopping at as many supermarkets as possible recently, trying to get the best deals etc. As a little treat she's been picking up all manner of products from the beauty aisles of everywhere from Asda, Aldi and Waitrose. This has of course been great news for me, fun products to play with that are extremely affordable and I haven't had to spend a penny...winning.

I've recently started using one of the shampoos that she has picked up and this one is from Waitrose, it's the Argan Plus Deep Repair Shampoo.

012

First off let's talk packaging....bright blue is a total surprise from normal packaging and it was quite refreshing to see it. i do love simple packaging like NSpa or girly like Soap and Glory and monochrome like Label M. I'd always choose one of those but actually the colours go well and I've quite liked having the blue bottle on display.

This shampoo will set you back £5.99 for the 300ml. I think this is a perfectly acceptable price for a shampoo from a higher end supermarket. Waitrose do generally stock good quality products at reasonable prices so you know you can trust them.

011

This claims to cleanse, enhance and revitalise hair that is dry and damaged leaving it softer and shinier. This obviously contains Argan Oil and helps to restore strength, but it also contains an amino acid blend to help cleanse without stripping the hair.

Keratin and Baobab oil help with moisturisation to make hair more manageable, smooth and shiny (who on earth doesn't want that?!)

010

Argan Plus is particularly good as it contains 4 extra oils; Baobab, Kukui, Moringa and Sacha Inci none of which I have ever heard of before but they allegedly were added for their restorative and nourishing properties.

I've been using this for the last 2/3 weeks and have even used it to double cleanse. It's a lovely shampoo which you don't need much of and I've been impressed with how it has cleansed and also nourished my hair.

014

013

I'd definitely consider repurchasing this and also other products from their range and will definitely check it out next time I go to Waitrose.

The only downside to this that I can see is that in contains Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, one of the sulfates that many don't like but is also even more drying than the Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (SLS) that everyone definitely knows about.

This is disappointing and I think maybe with long term use there would be some negative effects but I haven't seen any yet.

Have you tried any products from Argan Plus?

FOTD

Hey there!

I'm not big on FOTD, mainly as my photos never turn out quite right or generally something goes wrong. But I enjoy reading/seeing other peoples FOTD's so I've persevered to show one of my favourite looks for the upcoming spring and summer months.......if they arrive!

004

I've started off with my new fave face base....Urban Decay's Naked skin. It's a gorgeous, light foundation which feels weightless on my skin allowing you to still see my actual skin underneath. I'm a big fan of it especially for the warmer months.

The concealer I've applied in this FOTD is the UD 24/7 concealer pencil. I find this creamy and blends really well, though my colour, although its perfect for me, is very light and lightens my undereyes like a charm!

026

Next up is the brows. My latest venture has been using Gimme Brow from Benefit. After having an awful eyebrow wax from them they kindly sent us out a few products as an apology so I've been testing this out. There will be a full review but for now I'm quite impressed with how easy it is to use and the effects of it.

036

I think it looks really natural and i like having my brows brushed through.

One of my favourite eyeshadow palettes is the Theodora one from UD. I'm a bit of a UD fan really aren't I?? What a saddo haha.
I wear this palette most days and am a bit gutted that it was limited edition, I'd be distraught if it ran out which it inevitably will. I will be searching high and low for alternatives in the future!

046

After this I used the infamous UD 24/7 pencil in Perversion which is just unbelievable. I've tried many black liners before but this pencil is out of this world!
I've also applied Benefit's They're Real mascara to complete my eye look, lashes always look better with a few coats!

050

085

On my cheeks I've used a MAC beauty powder from the Emanuel Ungaro collection a few years ago and I've also applied MAC's MSF in Soft and Gentle to my cheek bones.

090

080

The lipstick I've used is MAC's Viva Glam Nicki Minaj which I absolutely LOVE. It can be drying but as long as you've moisturised your lips enough beforehand you will be fine. It's such a gorgeous colour it's hard to resist it!

What do you think of my FOTD? Do you prefer the eyes or the lips?

I think I need to wear pinks more often, I've been obsessed with coral for ages but I should get back into pinks too, don't you think?
