Hello all!

I'm back with another Kiehls review today, this time it's a fairly new product called the 'Nightly Refining Micro Peel Concentrate'
I picked this up at the same time as my other purchases - the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Daily Reviving Concentrate and the Creamy Eye Treatment - but it has taken a little longer for me to post about. Let me explain to you what it is.
The concentrate claims to 'naturally refresh skin by morning' without irritation, and after 1 weeks use will visibly refine texture and even skin tone. This sounds pretty good to me as I'm pale and blemishes can show up easily, plus I have some scarring left from acne a few years ago.
It contains quinoa husk extract (sustainably-sourced) to aid with surface skin call turnover and each bottle contains the extracts of 2000 husks. They're supposed to be a great exfoliant so this was intriguing, I hadn't heard of these before let alone in a skincare product.

The product itself comes in a typical Kiehls box, I really like the packaging from them and I love the apothecary style design of the store. It appeals to my scientist nature but also I love everything old.
It comes with a glass dropper and I use a few drops each evening, warm them between my fingers and apply to my skin. You're supposed to press this into your skin but I tend to just spread it over the areas I want it on and it absorbs pretty quickly anyway.
I think it's really helpful the bottle also comes with a proper lid, this is ideal for travelling with and knowing you can seal the bottle fully if necessary and carry the dropper separately.
I've found from using it that there is a difference in my skin the first few uses, and it actually has felt brighter and smoother. Not once have I experienced any irritation in my skin either (particularly in terms of redness or sensitivity), although sometimes I wonder if it has made my skin drier.
I wasn't sold on this after the first few uses because I used it in conjunction with my other Kiehls products, so I put it away and waited to see the results from the others, and now combine this with them.
I have to say I do see a difference, mainly in the brightness and tone of my skin. I mostly apply this over my cheeks/jawline area and forehead to help with some acne scarring and tiny wrinkles I have forming. I don't know how much it has helped the wrinkles but my skin is definitely brighter and the scarring does seem to have reduced.
However this bottle costs £41, and I'm not sure I would repurchase again for the full price. There are other products on the market that do a similar job that don't cost this much so I wonder if you are paying for the name and not the product itself.
Maybe my skin isn't ready for it yet and I'm not actually old enough to be using something like this? (fingers crossed?!!)

Have you tried the Micro-Peel Concentrate? Are you a fan of overnight treatments?
Let me know your favourites so I can compare them!
