Lush Ladybird Bubble Bar

Good morning everyone!

I've been working my way through the wonderful products I picked up recently at the Lush Spring event which you can read about here.

My bath this week was with the Ladybird Bubble Bar - it's such a cutie!

I haven't used many bubble bars before so this was a new experience for me, and also the smell was so intriguing.
As I've mentioned many times I'm quite sensitive to smells and sometimes they are overpowering, this one is not like that at all. How can you resist such a cute bubble bar with the bug eyes??

This one contains geranium and peppermint oil so is both relaxing and invigorating, it would be a great one to have in the morning if there was enough time!

I crumbled this under running water and watching the bubble multiply, I actually only used half of this bar as I wanted to save it but next time the whole thing is going in!

Lorna from Lush Cardiff told us the best thing for these is to use a sieve, I have now bought one ready to use the other half and can't wait to see how much more bubbly it gets.

My bathroom (and me!) smelled amazing after this bath and I may have to purchase a few more of these lovely little bugs before they stop selling them. The only cost £3.95 each

Have you tried the Ladybird? Do you prefer bubble bars or bath bombs?

Lush Christmas Collection 2015

Hey All

A few weeks ago we were invited to see the new Christmas collection. L and I are both Lush fans so knew straight away we had to go. I always love the Lush Christmas range as who doesn't want a nice relaxing bath especially when it's all cold outside.

The Christmas range includes a whole selection of products from bath bombs to face masks to shower jelly's and much much.

Christingle is a product we both loved straight away, we always love fresh mint scents and are big fans of Mask of Magmaminty (review here). The body conditioners are a great products as it's applied in the shower and saves having to wait around for body lotions to sink it when it's cold! I love Ro's Argan but this is even better!

The festive face mask is Cranberry which L couldn't resist picking up and we tested them out the other day. It's so lush and smells great. It's a perfect winter face mask as it's nourishing and has lots of antioxidants!

Lush Old Father Time Soap

Lush always put amazing detail into everything! How amazing is this soap. The new shop fit of Lush Cardiff also means that you can see the amazing soaps all set up better! I couldn't resist popping back last week and grabbing some yog nog soap! That stuff smells amazing!

Santa's Belly Shower Jelly

Santa's Belly and Snowman Shower Jelly

At the last lush event we went to we couldn't resist purchasing Lush Shower Jelly's for the first time. You can see L's review of needles and pine here. They have two Christmas specials, Santa's Belly and Snowman, in store they had a giant Santa's  belly. I loved just playing with it!! The shower jellys are such a fun gift and the snowman is actually snowman shaped!

Bar humbug Lush bubble bar

At the event there was also a chance to try making your own bubble bar. You can do parties in Lush and make bath bombs and stuff which would be a great birthday party or hen do event. It was surprisingly hard to make it look as good as they do! L didn't get the chance so I shared mine so she could try it. You easy get two baths out of these! I love combining a bath bomb and bubble bar for the ultimate bath!!

It's Christmas Deer Lush Gift

It's Christmas Deer lush gift

Lush do amazing Christmas gifts! I've been lucky enough to be given one before, I love all there gift sets and they make amazing presents as they're great for lush lovers or for people who aren't there yet to try new products! One of the great things I love is the amazing packaging as it means you can reuse them and it doesn't go to waste! One of my favourites is It's Christmas Deer. How lush is that tin!!

Have you tried any of the new items yet?

Review: Laura Mercier Honey Bath Creme Brulee

Morning All

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Where is this week going! It's been a busy few days for me and after doing the half marathon on Sunday I feel exhausted already.

After not really training as much as I should have (having not run more than 6 miles/not at all the month before) I finished the race in a lot of pain and after 10 miles some injuries.

I'm still aching now but on Monday nught decided I deserved a proper treat bath.

When the Space NK offer was on I decided to pick up the Laura Mercier Honey Bath as it's not a luxury I'd normally spend on.

I went for Creme Brulee as I'm a fan of sweet vanilla type smells. This actually really reminds me of Lush's honey I washed the kids soap.

Honey baths come with a cute little wooden stick which you use to dip in the produxt and then swirl that under the tap to create bubbles. I wasn't really sure what to expect with this product and whether or not I'd get a bubbly bath or more of a sweet smelling relaxing one.

When run under the tap honey bath creates nice thick bubbles. I tend to use two-three sticks of it for a bath. So far I am loving it. It smells amazing and gives a lush bath. The downside is definitely the price tag. I do think as a present I'd love It.

Are you a bath person? Would you consider splashing out a little? I'm hoping it'll last a while.

Philosophy: Birthday Girl set

Morning campers!

Ooh that sounded happy and chirpy didn't it!

Today's post is on a gift I had from my mum last year for my birthday (FYI almost a year ago....eek!) so I decided it was about time I got my act together and wrote about it as it's such a lovely set.

009

First of all, who doesn't love a Philosophy gift set? Everyone goes mad for them at Christmas, they have some stunning collections and I always see people going crazy for them in the sales afterwards too.

Their packaging design is unlike anyone else's and I think they're really pretty; the balloon pattern and the bow on top is so cute!

010

011

You can see on the side of the box the contents of the gift set; Vanilla Birthday Cake shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo; and Vanilla Birthday Cake lipgloss.

012

016

Onto the main star of the show! The Vanilla Birthday Cake is a 240ml bottle of a multi purpose product. Philosophy are famous for this and their design. I love that the front of the bottle contains a recipe for a vanilla birthday cake, its so simple but fun and I'd love to know if it actually works!

018

020

This smells really luxurious and sweet, it has a very warm and comforting smell like warm cake from the oven does. It is very creamy and rich and so a little does go a long way, but I did find it hard to get the product out of the bottle as it was quite stiff and as the product is so thick it doesn't move very fast!

023

024

The lip gloss is a nice touch to add to a Birthday themed gift; who doesn't love a shiny lip on their birthday!

This looks to be a gold glittery gloss but actually comes out as a clear shimmery gloss. It is perfect to wear on its own and over other lipsticks and will give any look that little something extra.
It is SUPER shiny and I really love wearing it over a red lip like MAC's Russian Red or Kate Moss 107.

This was a lush present to recieve and I've since recommended my mum get it for many other people she knows and they've all loved it too.
This gift retails for £18 and can be found on their website here or at Boots. As I said previously they have updated the packaging to a more grown up blue and yellow design which is just as pretty.

Have you tried many Philosophy products? Which is your favourite?
